This self-healing exercise, designed to open the heart and bring calm and peace, is based in ancient tai chi and qigong practices. 1. Begin from a standing position. (Image 1) 2. Draw your arms up and over your head, palms turning inward as you go. (Image 2) 3. At the top of your circle, allow your hands to cross one over the other as you draw them down and in. (Image 3) 4. Rest your hands on your heart. (Image 4). Drop your chin and connect to the beating of your heart. 5. Slowly release. 6. Begin again and repeat 3 additional times. Each time, take a moment to connect to the healing energy of the heart, and bring in calm and peace. 7. After your final return to stillness, gently repeat this mantra to yourself three times: May I be happy. May I be well. May I be filled with peace.
