Body Sense
massage, bodywork & healthy living
It's been a long 19 months. How are
you? No, really . . . how are you?
Although we've all had a global,
shared experience since the pandemic
hit, we've all lived through very
different realities since March 2020.
Some have dealt with the worst
imaginable; some have been getting
numbly by. Financial hardships, health
concerns, fear, and foreboding are just
a few of the challenges on the list.
It's time to make a shift. Now is
the time to make sure you're taking
care of yourself. Sleep, nutrition,
and movement are foundational.
Do the best you can with all three.
Then add in another layer: build
quiet time/meditation into your
day to help clear the "clutter" in
your mind, and schedule your next
massage or bodywork session to
clear the "clutter" in your body.
Find the space and time for both.
In this issue of Body Sense, we help
you down that path. Author Kristin
Coverly offers tips for getting the
very most out of your massage, and
we talk to our friend Darren Buford
about getting his first post-pandemic
massage and what he's missed
about being on the massage table.
We hope you find the things
in your life that can help you
shift back to normalcy. Make
sure a part of that is self-care!
